Easy Sound artist Rodrigo Amarante will soon embark on a coast-to-coast US tour with indie rock favourite Angel Olsen, shortly after the announcement of his Emmy nomination for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music for his work on Netflix original series ‘Narcos’.
Amarante, a national hero in Brazil for his work in iconic Brazilian band Los Hermanos — came to the US in 2007 to play in Devendra Banhart’s band. He quickly became widely known for his project with The Strokes’ Fabrizio Moretti and Binki Shapiro – Little Joy and released his critically acclaimed solo album Cavalo in 2014 on the Easy Sound Recording Company label.
On the heels of Cavalo’s success, Rodrigo Amarante was asked to contribute the theme song to the hit Netflix series ‘Narcos’. His song ‘Tuyo’ can be heard during the opening credits to the show, another stunning example of Amarante’s emotive writing and musical craftsmanship.
