Jaako Eino Kalevi shares video for ‘I’m Always Crying’ (Véronique Vincent & The Honeymoon Killers cover)

Winner of 2017 European Border Breakers Award

Jaakko Eino Kalevi shares a new video for ‘I’m Always Crying’, his cover of the new-wave cult classic by Véronique Vincent & The Honeymoon Killers. Shot in Paris last month, the film follows Jaakko as he visits a gallery, a restaurant, and a barbershop.

The track is taken from the recent album 16 Visions of Ex-Futur, a compilation of remixes and covers of songs by Aksak Maboul and Véronique Vincent, the seminal acts behind the Brussels label Crammed Discs.

Last week, Jaakko was announced as the winner of an EBBA – the 2017 European Border Breakers Awards, which recognise the work of emerging artists. The awards ceremony takes place on 11 January in Groningen as part of the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival. Previous winners include Adele and Christine and the Queens.

Jaakko is currently recording his next album and plays two more shows in Berlin and Acapulco, Mexico this year.

Jaakko Eino Kalevi is out now on CD, LP and digitally. Order from iTunes or Weird World.
