London Mardi Gras is a carnival & party with authentic live music, an immersive theatrical parade & performance and dancing on London’s Southbank – on to late night event as part of Vault Festival.
Mardi Gras is an excuse to live to excess. One more drink. One more meal. One more song. In England, we have pancake day to celebrate shrove Tuesday and the end of lent; over on the other side of the Atlantic, they have Mardi Gras. An orgastic celebration of life, love and each other. It’s Fat Tuesday’s aim to bring the city that care forgot to the big smoke on the Thames.
Join performance company Shotgun Carousel for their annual late night London street spectacle, collaborating again alongside Kansas Smitty’s House Band to bring the sound and soul of New Orleans to London. Then enter the Vaults for a whole night of drinking, dancing and revelry as the house band play their swampy NOLA rhythm ‘n’ blues all night and the temperature rises to fever pitch.
